Abstract

The study analyzes the role of microfinance programs in women empowerment and entrepreneurship development in Nepal. The research examines how beneficiaries perceive the impacts of the microfinance programs on promoting entrepreneurship and empowering women in the study area. The primary aim of this study is to examine the effects of the programs implemented by Nirdhan Utthan microfinance across four distinct districts on women's empowerment and entrepreneurship. The study followed the mix method of data analysis. Qualitative data were analyzed though interpretive paradigm of data analysis and quantitative data were analyzed by using statistical and mathematical tools like table figure and percentage. Data were gathered from both primary and secondary sources. The findings and conclusions of this study were derived from the analysis of the primary data. On the basis of data analysis, it is found that Nirdhan Utthan microfinance actively run the program to enhance the women Entrepreneurship and empower the women living in its catchment area, however, respondents are not fully satisfied with the program run by microfinance related to saving and women empowerment that it should be reviews the programs and improved it.
